I've bought this set twice now. Really love the design and the soft sand texture is mildly soothing. I keep one on the back of my cellphone. I really notice its absence, like when I got a new phone case.

My son uses these to calm himself (he's in his 40's) when he feel a panic attack or anxiety attack starts. He carries on his work bag, back of his phone and with his keys. They are greatly helping.

The design on these strips is beautiful, no doubt about it. I love it completely and would use these as stickers even if they had no texture. That said, I do think the smooth sand texture is a bit too smooth for my personal taste. It's a very, very light touch to it which might be exactly what you're looking for so definitely give it a try.

I've been a skin picker for over 20 years and tried all kinds of things to stop, from CBT to gloves to a variety of fidgets. Still, I couldn't stop picking. For some reason, Calm Strips are different. After a month and a half, my fingers look so much better. Maybe it's because touching one of the strips occupies my fingers. Maybe it's because holding one is easy to do in a variety of settings. Maybe it's because picking the strip soothes my brain the way picking my skin does. Bought this set and one other for my son to take to school. They're both pretty and have a nice texture. Since they came in a pack of 5 he was able to share with a few friends. They stick really well to phones and his desk at school.
